CYBERSPACE LEA cluster, to which NOTIONES belongs to, was presented at the Fifth Intersessional Consultation of the Ad Hoc Committee, organised by the UN Office on Drugs and Crime in Vienna, from 20 to 21 June 2023. It was a valuable opportunity for the cluster to showcase its work and influence international cybercrime prevention policies. 

The CYBERSPACE LEA cluster aims to provide a collaborative platform for EU-funded projects focused on law enforcement, cybersecurity, and cybercrime prevention. The cluster facilitates knowledge exchange and promote synergies among diverse projects, and at the same time enhance the impact and effectiveness of individual projects by leveraging the collective strength of the cluster. 

The key objectives can be summarised as per below: 

  • Foster effective communication and collaboration 
  • Explore research opportunities and potential joint exploitation activities 
  • Coordinate the development and dissemination of project findings and recommendations to the EC, LEAs and other stakeholders
  • Analyse practices, methodologies and technologies
