Kick-off of the ENACT Project – European Network Against Crime and Terrorism

On September 12-13, the kick-off of the ENACT project was hosted by the NOTIONES partner Polícia Judiciária in Lisbon, Portugal. ENACT (European Network Against Crime and Terrorism) answers the SSRI-01-02 call topic (link) from 2022 which aims at the creation of knowledge networks for security research and innovation, in this case specifically to tackle the FCT (Fight against Crime and Terrorism) domain which is part of Horizon Europe’s Cluster 3 (Civil Security for Society).

ENACT will be coordinated by Polícia Judiciária and counts with the participation of 12 partners from 9 different countries. It will span for 3 years and will be focused in delivering a multidimensional knowledge-as-a-service approach as well as strengthening the cooperation and enhancing information exchange among the Security R&I Community. On top of that, it will also help to shape the upcoming European Funding schemes dedicated to Law Enforcement Agencies, especially on the enhancement of uptake of R&I results by the practitioners. Moreover, the project will seek high levels of cooperation with other on-going projects and knowledge networks. In this sense several activities for cooperation will be organized in the future between ENACT and the NOTIONES H2020 project, with ultimate goal of enhancing synergies between the two networks and augmenting the levels of dissemination of information and results among the complete security R&I community dedicated to the FCT domain.
